A tragic accident occurred on Thursday involving an Air Tractor AT-602 aircraft registered as PP-PLR, operated by Fama Aviação Agrícola Ltda. The agricultural plane, which was newly manufactured in 2024 (MSN: 602-1376), crashed under unknown circumstances while performing an aerial operation in Fernandópolis, São Paulo. Unfortunately, the sole occupant of the aircraft, the pilot, was killed in the crash.
The accident happened during the manoeuvring phase of an agricultural operation. Witnesses reported that the cropduster had flown over the designated area four times before the crash. The exact cause of the accident remains unclear at this time.
